About

My name is Mauricio, I’m a Mexican PhD student in Economics at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  I formerly did study at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), where I got my B.A. and Masters studies.

My academic interests are focused, but not confined to, Econonetric Theory and its applications. More specifically, I’ve been working on permutation tests from a theoretical and computational point of view. Right now, my main focus is on different testing problems, such as heterogeneity of the treatment effect or spatial dependency, and computational efficiency issues of permutation tests regarding parallel computing.
